The OSCE Border Management Staff College (BMSC) will commence their fourth one-year blended learning Postgraduate Diploma in Border Security and Management for Senior Leadership Course (PgDip BSMSL). The opening of the course is scheduled for 1 – 4 September 2020.

The PgDip BSMSL is a fully accredited EKKA (Quality Assessment Council for Higher Education) one-year blended learning course - combining in-class lectures and online learning, that is aimed at enhancing professional competencies of current and future managers of border security agencies from across the OSCE’s participating States and Partners for Co-operation.

The course consists of three modules. Each module is composed of an e-learning component, classroom activities, and a post-module assignment. The course combines face-to-face classroom instruction with the convenience and flexibility of online lessons. Students will be engaged in self-study from home (office), with unlimited access. The course ends with the defence of course work, on a topic to be selected by the learner’s sending agency.

Upon successful completion of the course, graduates will receive the BMSC’s Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma – which earns them a total of 60 ECTS credits, under the European Qualifications Framework (EQF).

Countries are welcome to nominate several eligible candidates. Not more than two (2) representatives will be selected, per country. Candidates will be enrolled through the competitive selection process. In order to be considered for admission, candidates must submit a Letter of Motivation. Candidates must ensure that their letter of motivation is well composed, as only candidates showing very strong motivation will be invited for the phone interview. Women officers are strongly encouraged to apply. For successful completion of the course, selected participants should attend all three Modules, and defend their graduation course work.
